My PSP 1000 Is Not Working No More

Well I had my psp on my night stand last night and I went to drink from my water bottle, when I was done with it I was going to put it on my stand and I accidentally tipped it over and the water spilled all over the screen of my psp!

I went to dry it off with a towel and after it was wiped off I tried to turn it on and it will not boot up. The green light will not even show up. But If I plug it in with the ac power cable it still charges. I am pretty bumbed out that it won't work anymore. I am going to be trying out the bag of rice trick and see if it can dry out my psp and hopefully it will work.

I had my psp 1000 for about 4-5 years now and it lasted this long. For now I am going to be using my nintendo dsi xl for handheld gaming until I can get a new one or if the rice trick works, I will be posting a update to see if it worked or not.

I am posting a update saying that I finally got my psp working. I tried the rice trick and left it to dry for a couple days and it still wont turn on. So now I can only get it to turn on if I have it connected to the ac adapter. Even though it finished charging it shows 0 percent in the battery information. Its too bad I can't bring it with me anywhere I go anymore. Now its more of a home console. For now I will be using my ds as my handheld game console and I may get the ipod touch instead of a new psp. I will be doing some app and game reviews of that when I get it.

Retron 3 Game Console Review

This is a review for the Retron 3 game console that I own. Its a really great system for people that are just starting out to collect old games or want to relive their childhood and play retro games. Its also great when you don't have to pay a lot of money to get 3 consoles. It plays 3 consoles in one, nes (nintendo entertainment system), snes (super nintendo entertainment system) and sega genesis.

This console can also play most of the japanese import games since it has a pal switch on the back of the console.  There are some games that don't work like Castlevania 3 for nes. It does come with 2 wireless controllers but I don't recommend using them since the sega genesis buttons are swapped and the IR sensor is not that great. You have to be pointing the controller directly at the console. I would recommend picking up a original controller for one of the three consoles you are playing since it has 6 controller ports on each side. I use the 3 button controller the genesis came with and it works like it should. It feels like your playing the real thing.

The Retron 3 also has s-video and composite video cables. The s-video is for the snes and genesis, I recommend using the s-video for genesis games since it makes all the colors brighter and it doesn't look dull when using composite video. It will not work for nes cause there was no s-video on the nes. On the front of the console there is a knob in the middle that lets you switch between the three consoles. It has to be switched to the one you are playing for it to work. Like if your playing nes you have to switch it over to the nes.

Now since it has controller ports for the old controllers I believe you can actually use some of the old accessories like the light gun, the running pad, or arcade pad. I haven't tested out the light gun since I don't own one but it may work, but I know it won't work on a HD TV it has to be on a standard TV.

So if you want to start your own collection of games or if you have some games but don't want to spend a lot of money on all of the consoles then this is the console for you. Its even under 100 dollars so its not bad. It comes in 2 colors, shiny red and Grey. I got the shiny red since it looks cool in red. Here is a link to buy the console.

I have uploaded a couple of pictures of the console..

Introduction About Myself

Hello, Welcome to my blog. I am going to be making game reviews and guides on how to do stuff. Here is some things about myself.

I started playing games when I was 3 years old and my first game was super mario bros. on the nes. After a while I got my first nes for my birthday and loved it. I had a pretty good collection of games. I had super mario bros, I had the track and running game with the running pad add on. I also had the excitebike game and duck hunt with the light gun. I can't really remember what else I had since it was a long time ago.

A little later the sega genesis was released. I was so excited when I saw the tv ad and just had to have it so I sold my nes for the sega genesis and man was I happy. I loved all the sonic games for the genesis. I had sonic 1 2 and 3 also the sonic and knuckles game that allowed you to add on another sonic game for more levels. I have the model 2 sega genesis and I actually still have it to this day but is stored in the garage. I even still own all of my favorite sega games.

Here is a list of some of the sega games I own, I have all the good sonic games 1-3 and knuckles, Aladdin, The Lion King, Ghoul's n' Ghosts, Ms. Pac Man, Young Indiana Jones, Spot Goes To Hollywood, Cool Spot, Goofy's Historical Adventure, F-22 Interceptor and a 6-pack game that has 6 in one. All of them still work to this day and most of them are in good shape.

After a while I got more into handheld gaming. Which is when the psp got released. I got the first psp when it was released for my birthday and I still own it today. I take my psp just about everywhere I go and its great when I get bored. I even got all the old school game consoles on it in emulator form. Later I will be doing guides on how to put emulators on a psp also how to back up games from the umds.

I will be also showing some neat tips and tricks for some of the sega genesis games that I own and take some snap shots of the gameplay. I got the retron 3 console that plays nes, snes and genesis games so now I can play all my favorite old games. So stay tuned for all the guides, reviews, tips and tricks for the psp and some of the games that I own.
